ITSO is a strategic initiative supported by the major bus and
rail transport organisations of the UK and the UK Government to provide
interoperable contactless smartcard based ticketing. For those who
need more information about ITSO this can be obtained in the article
'ITSO - An Introduction' available in our brochures
section or by visiting www.itso.org.uk
Ecebs are committed to the furtherance of ITSO and offer a variety
of products and services.
ISAM
Of primary importance is the ITSO Security Application Module (ISAM),
which is now available in 3 and 5 volt versions. The ISAM is located
in the ticket issuing and checking devices and provides the means
by which contactless smartcards issued by a variety of transport operators
are read and verified. The full specification of the ISAM can be obtained
from our documents section
and various articles by way of background can be read in our News
Archive section.
To order ISAM's please contact enquiries@ecebs.com
ISMS
The ITSO Security Management System (ISMS) was designed and built
by Ecebs. The Royal Bank of Scotland, on behalf of ITSO Limited, operates
the ISMS in a highly secure and resilient environment. The purpose
of the ISMS is to provide the necessary cryptographic keys and security
covering all elements of an ITSO environment. This enables licensed
ITSO Members to be confident in the overall integrity of their ITSO
compliant schemes.

AMS/HOPS
As the designers of both the ISAM and the ISMS, Ecebs are uniquely
positioned as suppliers of the additional systems required to complete
an ITSO environment. The Asset Management System / Host Operator Processing
System (AMS/HOPS) is required to manage the ISAMs installed in the
point of service terminal (POST) equipment as well as providing the
necessary data flows to integrate your ITSO scheme.
The Royal Bank of Scotland has utilised our unique skills to achieve
several leading milestones with their AMS / HOPS. It was the first
AMS to be accredited by ITSO; the first AMS to commission live ISAMs
(an operation now conducted routinely in large numbers) and these
ISAMs have enabled hundreds of thousands of ITSO cards to be produced.
In Februaury 2008 ecebs announced our own independent AMS/HOPS
direct supply. For more details click

about this course, or would like a particular course designed for
