November 2003 - Worlds First 4 Megabyte Smartcard
The Ecebs High Capacity Card, in ITSO ISAM format, was nominated for a prestigious Sesame award at the recent Cartes exhibition in Paris.
The 4 Megabyte smartcard has all the features of standard smartcards including ISO attributes, but has more than 80 times the storage capacity of a standard smartcard. "This smartcard provides the solution to high volume secure smartcard requirements, such as medical cards able to store x-rays, biometrics, GSM applications and data" said David Braddock, Ecebs Managing Director. "It has broken through smartcard technology constraints and opened up whole new possibilities for the use of smartcards"
