March 2004 - ITSO Roll out Specification Finalised
The final version of the ITSO Specification for organisations implementing ITSO was released in March. Version 2.1 of the specification was published on the 30th March.
A special social event to commemorate this auspicious achievement was held that evening on board the Mersey Ferry 'Daffodil'.
"Now that the final version of the Specification is here, smartcard issuers can be assured of real interoperability by using ITSO" observed David Braddock of Ecebs. "It represents the culmination of several years dedication and commitment by the Technical Authors who have produced the ultimate interoperable transport ticketing solution - an incredible achievement." he continued.
