2002 - Ecebs and Partners at Cartes 2002

UK Based Smart Card Applications developer, Ecebs, have launched a new technology partnership programme, which was very much in evidence at the recent Cartes Exhibition 2002. At the show Ecebs partnered with Atmel, ITSO and Maosco.

On each of their stands, Ecebs Personnel were on hand to discuss the Ecebs rapid application development tool, Multefile and the many benefits the Ecebs product set is bringing to Smartcard applications developers.

Multefile is a major advance in the simplification of the deployment and use of Smartcards. With Multefile, any business can now devise, implement and manage its own smartcard products by circumventing prolonged development processes.
Ecebs Managing Director, David Braddock, said, "Ecebs partners are already gaining huge benefits from this latest Ecebs technology. With Multefile, business owners can create and maintain their own Smartcard and Smartcard related applications as easily as building a spreadsheet, thus radically lowering the costs of development and ongoing maintenance. Multefile can smoothly integrate with legacy installations and existing card and application management systems to provide radically simplified terminal and card application management overall".

Interest in the application is coming from organisations involved with Multi-application systems, Public Identity, e-payments, Public Transport, e-government and health.

Braddock continued, "With Multefile, the Ecebs development team have all but done away with the prolonged and laborious process of technical development. Multefile's features have been designed to radically lower the cost of development and ownership and improve the flexibility of any smartcard scheme - thus improving the business case for smartcard deployment. We are expecting a great deal of interest in Multefile following the Cartes exhibition."
