Paragon HOPS is the sophisticated back-office software necessary to operate an ITSO smart ticketing scheme. It supports commercial and concessionary smart ticketing schemes including those run by local authorities and transport operators.
The HOPS communicates with other elements of the smart card scheme such as Smart cards, ISMS, other HOPS and Card Management System (CMS).
The HOPS (Host Operating or Processor System) is the component of the back office system responsible for recording card transactions and communicating these messages to POSTs, ISMS and other HOPS. It can provide key transaction reports to maximise information management.
